Today, you visit the first of the four sacred shrines.

• Trek to the Shrine: Drive early morning to Janki Chatti. From here, begin the 6 km trek to the Yamunotri Temple. You can choose to walk, hire a pony, or take a palanquin (Doli).

• The Holy Dip & Darshan: Before visiting the temple, take a holy dip in the warm waters of the Surya Kund (hot spring) and cook rice in the hot water to take home as Prasad. After seeking blessings from Goddess Yamuna, trek back to Janki Chatti.

• Return: Drive back to your hotel in Barkot for a well-deserved rest.

• The Drive: Journey towards Uttarkashi, a town situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, famous for its ancient temples and ashrams.

• Vishwanath Temple: Upon arrival and check-in, visit the ancient Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi, dedicated to Lord Shiva.

• Evening Rest: Spend the evening resting in preparation for tomorrow’s journey to Gangotri.

A day dedicated to the majestic Gangotri temple, the spiritual source of the holy river Ganges.

• The Scenic Route: Drive from Uttarkashi to Gangotri through the stunning Harsil Valley, renowned for its dense deodar forests and apple orchards.

• Temple Darshan: Arrive at the Gangotri Temple, built in the 18th century by the Gurkha General Amar Singh Thapa. Take a holy dip in the icy waters of the Bhagirathi River and perform pooja.

• Return Journey: After a peaceful Darshan, drive back to your hotel in Uttarkashi for the night.

Today involves a long, incredibly scenic drive deep into the Garhwal Himalayas.

• The Drive: Travel from Uttarkashi to Guptkashi, enjoying views of the Mandakini River along the way.

• Guptkashi: The name translates to “Hidden Benares.” It holds immense religious significance, as it is believed Lord Shiva hid here to avoid the Pandavas.

• Check-in: Arrive in Guptkashi by evening, check into your accommodation, and complete your medical checkups if you are trekking to Kedarnath the next day.

Prepare for one of the most spiritually powerful days of the Yatra.

• Reaching the Base: Drive early morning to Sonprayag/Gaurikund, the base camp for the Kedarnath trek.

• The Ascend: Begin the steep 16-21 km trek to the Kedarnath Shrine. Devotees can choose to trek on foot, hire a mule/pony, or take a helicopter service (must be pre-booked).

• Arrival at Kedarnath: Arrive at the breathtaking Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, set against the backdrop of the majestic, snow-covered Kedar peak.

• Night Stay: Spend the night at a guesthouse or camp in Kedarnath to experience the divine evening Aarti. (Note: Accommodations in Kedarnath are basic due to the high altitude).

Witness the serene morning beauty of the Himalayas before descending.

• Morning Pooja: Wake up before dawn to participate in the morning Pooja at the Kedarnath Temple.

• The Descent: After breakfast, begin your trek back down to Gaurikund.

• Return to Base: Meet your driver at Sonprayag and drive back to your hotel in Guptkashi for a much-needed rest after the strenuous trek.

Journey to the final shrine of the Char Dham Yatra, dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

• The Drive: Drive through the spectacular mountain roads, passing through Chopta and Joshimath, to reach Badrinath.

• Tapt Kund: Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Before visiting the temple, take a purifying dip in the Tapt Kund (a natural thermal spring).

• Badrinath Darshan: Visit the vibrant, intricately decorated Badrinath Temple. Seek blessings from Lord Badri Vishal.

• Evening Aarti: Attend the mesmerizing evening Aarti at the temple, a truly unforgettable spiritual experience.

Begin your journey back toward the plains, witnessing the sacred river confluences.

• Mana Village (Optional): In the morning, you may choose to visit Mana, the last Indian village before the Tibet border, to see the Vyas Gufa and Bhim Pul.

• The Return Drive: Begin the drive back down the mountains toward Rudraprayag or Srinagar.

• Panch Prayag: En route, witness the holy confluences of the rivers: Vishnuprayag, Nandaprayag, Karnaprayag, and finally Rudraprayag (the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers).

• Overnight Stay: Check into your hotel in Rudraprayag or Srinagar for your final night in the mountains.

Your sacred pilgrimage comes to a close.

• The Final Leg: After breakfast, drive down through Rishikesh (where you may stop to see the Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula, time permitting).

• Arrival in Haridwar: Arrive back in Haridwar by late afternoon or evening. You will be dropped off at the railway station or your designated point, carrying with you the divine blessings of the Char Dham.
